Bocas del Toro review

On our short 6 day visit to Bocas del Toro I must say the Red Frog Beach is the place worth return to. But, we couldn’t explore as many places as we’d want to because of the heavy rain for the first three days – rainforest. So probably we missed a lot and there are many other brilliant places, e.g. the Wizard beach which we didn’t visit as we got warned to not take valuables with us into the jungle between Old Bank and the beach. There may be guys with machetes to take your valuables.πŸ—‘πŸ‘ŽπŸΎ – don’t know about this thou.

Β The hyped Drago beach was a slight disappointment. Actually there’s basically no proper beach at the point on which the Drago beach is on the map. We got there by bike with definitely too few hours budgeted for the trip as we realized that to reach the best beaches you need to take a water taxi from Boca del Drago. We just didn’t have the time this time to get any further so we stayed at Boca del Drago for some time and then took a minibus back to Bocas Town with bikes on the roof. The 17 km biking route through the jungle was a great success thou!

The first four days we stayed at Selina Red Frog which was great by its location and atmosphere, also they have a good restaurant up there. The last two days we will be relaxing at Eclypse de Mar bungalows ower the Caribbean Sea…tomorrow must have full batteries ’cause it’s a moving day.
